Camden is now an advanced red belt! Two more belts and she’ll be taking her black belt test. Jamey and I are so proud of her! Poor Colton will have to wait until spring to do his black belt testing. This broken foot came at just the right time to mess up soccer and karate :-( Camden did her routines yesterday and even got a new patch for her uniform. It’s for outstanding work. She broke 6 boards too! 2 at a time, 3 different ways! Sorry for the picture quality, I forgot my camera. Ugh, I hate when that happens!

Setback Sunday
When I checked Jennifer’s blog yesterday, I realized that I forgot flashback Friday…we had a full weekend! Went to Baltimore on Friday and got Jamey’s business license! Family Built, LLC is official! I am very proud of him. Saturday we had karate camp, Colton watched from a distance lol. Then we followed with a family cookout. I got to meet more of Jamey’s family from the Sciascia side. We had a great time swimming and eating crabs! In fact we were so busy that I forgot to take pictures! Of course we had family fun day today with everyone…more swimming and eating (do you see a trend??). Jamey and I went out and got Colton some busy toys. He is so restless! I am praying that the doctor says “no cast needed” on Tuesday. And yes, I have to leave early on my very first day back to work from summer vacation to go to the orthopedic specialist! I am normally dreading going back to work this time of year after being off so long…this time I am looking forward to it. I miss Jennifer and Chris, our lunches are like no others! And even though I still don’t have my Michelle back, sob sob, I think our new teacher is going to be a much better fit. I’m excited to meet her! The kids need to get back in to a routine and they miss their friends. It’s crazy to think they are going into the 5th and 2nd grade! They are growing up…next year will be middle school for Colton! Let’s not even talk about that! Anyway enough about that…here is my blast from the past picture.
Speaking of growing up…look how little they are! I loved these little towels. Rosie was always finding the cutest stuff at Costco. I’m glad I have Ashlyn and Tenley to see in cute little stuff like this!

Broken Bones
Colton broke his foot at karate Monday night :-( Wish I could say it was some fancy move during sparring but he actually just fell on his own self! We spent three hours at the orthopedic specialist yesterday just to find out he needs a CT scan to find out just how bad it is. He has a splint for now but it looks like soccer is going to have to wait until the spring season :-( We were really looking forward to playing this fall.

Daddy/Daughter Dinner & Date Night
Tonight was a very special night…our church was hosting a Daddy/Daughter spaghetti dinner. Camden asked Jamey to take her and Gary took Jaelyn. It was a formal affair! They played games, ate good food and did relays. Everyone had a great time. We are so lucky to have such an amazing guy in our lives. Jamey even got Camden roses for their date. We are blessed.

Tenley Ray
Jennifer and I got to meet Christa’s brand new addition, Tenley Ray Covert. What a sweet girl! She is absolutely beautiful and so alert! I was expecting her to get up and walk around…her room is awesome and she has more clothes than Paris Hilton! I am so happy for Christa and Brian, she is a lucky girl to have such great parents!
